I love this place, but it's hard to make time for it with their limited hours. I wish they were either open later or considering opening a second location to meet the late night needs of Long Beach.
Deli News is a local gem with friendly staff and delicious food. Their house made ranch goes very well with their pizza. Also 20 bucks for a 18 inch pizza is definitely worth it along with its quality so order a lot of ranches when you come here.
I've been coming here for months but never gave them a review? Why I don't know! I love their pasta specials you can't go wrong with whichever one you choose depending upon the day of the week! Today I stopped in for a Hawaiian Pizza to go! I love Hawaiian pizza it's my go to over here! Service is always friendly and polite! Ambience is kind of like family type! Pizza looks delicious doesn't it? Gotta go to Deli News if you want delicious pasta or pizzas!
I was craving soup again... gave the chicken noodle soup a try.. It was pretty good, but my favorite is still the Italian wedding soup. The meat balls and marinara sauce are delicious! The Stromboli was great to nibble on perfect amount of everything and not too doughy.. only problem was the cheese getting stuck to the bottom paper... service was great and so friendly. I'm glad I called for pick up in advance.
Old school, super low-key, zero frills, family favorite pizza joint. They've got pretty good lunch specials and daily pasta specials. My family likes ordering just their basic pepperoni pizza, but make it ginormous (for leftovers). Whatever cheese blend they use is really really tasty, and they are generous with their toppings. We tried their carbonara pasta special, which was tasty and simple -- remember, if you're here you probably should not be expecting exceptionally gourmet, fancy high end fare. Just good, affordable food. Service is friendly though they tend to be busy behind the counter, so if you're the type who hates to interrupt you're gonna need to find an extrovert to help you. I definitely recommend stopping in for a slice!
